The statement said the Committee together with the National Moon sighting Committee across the country, did not receive any information confirming the sighting of the new crescent of Rabi’ ul Awwal yesterday the 24th of August 2025 equivalent to 29th of Safar 144AH, noting that today Sunday the thirtieth of Safar is the end of the Islamic Month1447AH and tomorrow shall be the 1st of Rabi’ ul Awwal accordingly.
